My New Hairdos

My friend who is neither a hairstylist nor barber, concern perhaps has taken the trouble to create some new hair-dos for me and if my crowning glory still allowed, I would go for my 1968 style. However, after so many years, I should maintain status quo...sigh!

With the recent High Notes saga still not completely over yet, the unofficial ‘spokesperson’ for the affected High Notes investors at Speakers’ Corner in Hong Lim Park has finally revealed his political ambition in today’s Sunday Times and quite frankly, I am not the least surprised at all. I am no savvy investor or the ignorant one but the economic instability especially the abrupt collapse of Lehman Brothers did make me pay a little more attention to the saga. Prior to that, the name Tan Kin Lian was complete alien to me though he was once the CEO of government-owned NTUC Income and his meteoric rise in recent times, did raise an eyebrow or two. Had Tan not readily volunteered his 'voice' to the aggrieved investors in this tumultuous period, will our MAS not act to protect the interest of these investors? Ride For Rations 2012

This charity ride, themed 'Ride For Rations 2012 which is organised by Bike Aid for Sunlove Home's Neighbourhood Links is into its second year and also, my second consecutive ride with them.  I was inspired by the warm and enthusiastic spirit of the organisers who volunteered their own time to put together such a well organised event.  I must compliment the people behind it, Manjit Singh, Shoeb, Jennifer and the rest in the organising team for their hard works. I got to know my current cycling kakis, GP Riders exactly one year ago when I first joined 'Ride for Rations 2011'.  I was then a novice rider and the two brothers whom I just got to know, Tomas and Pete were then rooting me all the way.  After that event, I become one of GP Riders members and the rest is history.   This year, GP Riders and friends sent in a team of 20.  From my side, I managed to rope in some of my outdoor kakis ...

Hike Up Gunung Pulai and Kangkar Pulai Fruit Farm Tour

One has to love the outdoor, prepared to rough it out somewhat and sometimes, have to get wet to really enjoy the trip. In all there were 42 who joined me for this one day trip up north to Johor. We even had a gregarious lady who flew in from New Zealand to join us. Her name is Alison, a Briton who lives in New Zealand and this is what she has penned after her trip and I quote, " Thanks so much for this great and varied trip Collin.
